We are proud to announce the publication of an important study in BMC Infectious Diseases, where we are the first researchers, not only in Pakistan but also internationally, to report a significant association between SARS-CoV-2 viral load during acute infection and post-COVID lung health.

This research will enhance the understanding of conditions affecting COVID-19 survivors suffering from long COVID syndrome.

In addition to this achievement, the abstract of the study will be presented at the Union for Lung Health Conference in Bali, Indonesia, on November 14th 2024, with travel support from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
